Why You Should Choose In-House CAD Training Why You Should Choose In-House CAD Training Most assume that the best solution to training on AutoCAD software is via attendance on a topics-based course at a training centre. However, from a user’s point of view, that choice is not so good. It is not just that they can be placed on an unlimited attendance course, with the risk of some users being left behind, it is also that typical training courses are topics based.
Here at On-Site-Support (CAD) , we offer our CAD training on an in-house basis. This month’s blog looks at why you should choose in-house CAD training. For more information, call us on 0800 1976 281 .
The Disadvantages to Topics-Based Courses Topics based courses means you may end up wading through stuff that they may not need. This then means you will suffer typical ping pong emails as you struggle with implementation when back in the office.
Topics based training centres are keen to promote their intermediate courses. Therefore, if questions arise on those topics, a trainee will be advised to attend an additional intermediate course. Moreover, it is not widely known that advertised training courses can be postponed due to low profitability.
Why Choose In-House CAD Training? In-House CAD training is a far better choice than topics-based courses. This is because they are exclusive to your company and limited to either 1 to 1, or up to 6 maximum. They can be carried out remotely where the trainer can see your screen whilst talking via zoom/teams. Alternatively, it can be carried out on your premises in a meeting room.
The Advantages of In-House CAD Training There are several advantages to in-house CAD training. These include:
After covering the basics, users can practice their skills on examples taken from their CAD work. There are no restriction on 2D CAD topics, except that customization is excluded for commercial reasons. So intermediate topics can be included if relevant. All attendees receive substantial specially written course companion notes. After course topics covered summaries are provided, which will have page numbers that refer to the manual. To create a useful after course reference. Each attendee will receive 30 days of remote connection support. (Subject to T & C’s) In-House CAD training can be more economical than training course fees.
